Leicester boss: I won’t let former coaches’ failures ruin my dreams

The Leicester boss returns to West Brom today where his ex-gaffer Bobby Gould was driven out by coffin-carrying supporters.

And Shakespeare even witnessed another old Baggies boss Brian Talbot axed after a 4-2 FA Cup humbling by part-timers Woking with a famous hat-trick by Tim Buzaglo.

But Shakespeare – who made 122 appearances at Albion from 1990 – says watching former managers ground down by the job has not put him off chasing a career in the dugout.

“The first memory is the difficult one – I was in the team that got beaten by Woking,” said Shakespeare of his Hawthorns memories.

“That actually cost the manager, Brian Talbot, his job and when you look back, I remember coming out of that dressing room.

“You talk about fans – wow, we did get their wrath!
